Valet Attendant
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The valet parking attendant is responsible for providing a superior and exceptional experience for every client and customer that visits the establishments we service. This includes customers who choose to use the valet parking service, and those who do not. Valet parking attendants must anticipate the needs of each customer and look to exceed their expectations in every interaction. Valet parking attendants must maintain a positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times. The valet parking attendant reports to the valet supervisor or account manager.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Arrive onsite to setup equipment
Welcome each customer with a smile and a warm greeting
Open all car doors, venue doors, hold umbrellas, offer information, direction, and assistance to customers
Safely perform valet parking services and operate customer’s vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and company policies
Handle cash, valet tickets, keys, company attire, and equipment
Maintain a professional appearance, language, demeanor, and behavior
Adhere to all of the policies, procedures, guidelines, and rules outlined in the Valet Employee Handbook
Be willing to perform other related duties, as requested, such as equipment set-up and break down, and grounds clean up
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years old or older
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the criteria of our insurance carrier
Must be able to get in and out of cars easily and move quickly
SKILLS REQUIRED
Must be able to work nights and weekends
Must demonstrate strong customer service skills
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous manner at all times
Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
Must be able to run or stand for up to 8 hours at a time
Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
